About Sam Marshall
Why I work with women in Financial Services
I’ve been where you are now. I worked in Financial Services for c30 years, in roles that ranged from front-line as an arrears supervisor in customer services to senior roles leading teams. At times in my career I felt like I was flying, using all my strengths to support my team & deliver great work and at other times I felt like I was stuck in a cycle of frustration, unable to break the recurring patterns of behaviour in myself and others that made working life harder than it should be. When I finally managed to break the cycle it made a huge difference not just in my working life but in my personal life as well. I can help you do it too.
No matter what role I’ve been doing there have been 2 recurring themes in my career: problem-solving and helping people. Coaching combines these 2 themes perfectly and leaving the corporate world has enabled me to focus on that & help people outside the confines of an organisational setting. When people work with me they know I only have their best interests at heart.
My passion is helping people to move past the things that frustrate them, overwhelm them and hold them back. Having coached & mentored in the corporate world for so many years I know that what’s most likely to be holding someone back is their mindset. Helping people understand what drives the way they think, feel and act, and make the changes that get them out of the cycle of frustration, is incredibly rewarding.
Are You Ready For A Change?
I’ve left the corporate world behind because I love working with people who:
- Are ready to make changes & want someone by their side
- Need help to shift their perspective on the things getting in their way
- Are committed to taking action
If you are ready to take the next step let’s talk
Beyond Work
I’m English by birth and Welsh by residency, having lived in Cardiff for the last 25 years after meeting my lovely Welsh husband. My kids are in their teens & our parents in their 80s so I know all the challenges of supporting the different generations, but I wouldn’t change a thing – my family is the most important thing in my life.
When I’m not working I can usually be found being active. Running & yoga have been passions of mine for a long time, & I’m a Run Buddy with She Runs: Cardiff a social running group supporting women to start / keep running.
